Hard Styrofoam Insulation safe?

Does anyone know if the Dow hard Styrofoam insulation is safe to use inside of the sump? I'd like to use it to insulate the pump vibration.

I'm not sure. You can always use a ziplock bag full of sand.

In the past I ran a couple beads of silicone on the bottom of my in sump pumps. It took all noise down to nothing

Hello, you can always ask Lowes or Home Depot for the MSDS sheets for the item. They have to have those on site for every item that they sell.

Once you have that they should either be able to provide it for you or you can look it up yourself on MSDS.com

I appreciate all the good ideas. I think I'll use the sand in a baggy trick for now and let you know if I find out anything further on the foam. Thanks!!
