I picked up a Harlequin Tusk about two weeks ago. I set up a QT tank, added a heater, and when I checked back an hour later, the water temperature was 92°F. I quickly cooled it down and moved the fish to another QT tank I already had running, where it has remained since.
The fish has kept its color but mostly lays on its side with very light breathing. Each morning, I find it in a different spot, but within a few minutes it returns to its corner, where it stays until the lights go off.
When it does move, sometimes it looks fine, but other times it swims at a 45-degree angle.
Is there any hope of saving it? If so, what steps can I take?
In the picture its looking behind it. When it looks forward it doesn't look like its eye is popping out.
