Finally enjoying my tank
Im looking for sugg. on what type fish. Im going FOWLR for now, but as I learn more I want to get some coral and annems. I have read a bunch of books, but the more I read the more confused I get. Any sugg. would be apreciated. I have a 75 gal
Thanks Derek

start of with clown fish. there good hardy fish.

One big factor would be what types of corals you plane to keep, this will help distinguish which kinds of fish to keep. Many angels will nip at corals and most all tangs will outgrow a 75 quickly.

Iknow I havent even started, and I want to upgrade to a 125. It seems like you are very limited as to what I can put in there

I started my FOWLR with a clown, a Bangaii Cardinal and a blue damsel. I still have them 3 years later. (Well diff clown actually). I also added a Coral Beauty angel early on and he hasn't touched any corals yet. Damsels can be a bit dominant and nearly impossible to catch if you need to QT the fish or move the tank (as I have found out twice). I would recommend a clown, bangaii Cardinal, blenny or goby (although some can make a mess of your substrate and tunnel under rocks, so chose wisely). I also have a yellow assessor now who is quiet and peaceful.

There are so many choices, just research them well and chose tankmates that are reef safe so you can get corals in the future.
