Help Please, alot of weird things all of a sudden

We have a 75 Gallon tank with overflow and 30 gallon sump skimmer etc, we have 2 clowns, 2 firefish, sixline, and a blue hippo tang. tank has been running for almost two years and has been through a move about a year ago. So all of a sudden we have alot of things going on we have some cyano that is building up on the back glass of the tank, a kenya tree that is dying all of a sudden and our blue hippo dorsal fin at the back is turning white and rotting away. Just did a water change about a week ago and 3 weeks before that for flatworms. all water parameters seem fine. Any ideas?

Also,do you run a skimmer on this tank?

Might be a long shot, but did you try running carbon? Leather looks like it could be dying from some chemical warfare? Also what exactly did you test when you say parameters look fine?

how old are your bulbs? need to know Sg, Alk, Calcium, and mag Levels. Jims right, run carbon and do a 20g water change.

did an BTA die or maybe a cuc?

running seagel so yes running carbon, Salinity 1.024 temp 79 + or - 1 degree. have a skimmer, for the other stuff i will post back later when i test again but all within the usual limits of the tank which has been running well. also nothing else died that i am aware of. Also setup a QT tank last night for the coral.

this may be far fetched, but you didn't use any chemicals (like cleaners, sponges, etc) around the aquarium did you? We had an issue at work where our cleaning crew sprayed cleaners around the aquarium and I saw residue near the top. My tree did almost the same thing

I'm also wondering about flatworm toxins? Did you treat with FW exit or something? If there was a good sized FW population that died/was killed off there may have been enough toxins released that one dose of carbon and a water change may not have eliminated all the toxins. Maybe change out the carbon a couple of times and see if things improve?

Yes, actually never thought of that.

I just did a second flatworm exit about 2 weeks ago but i did two water chanes and changed carbon twice but there were quite a few flatworms i also did siphon them as they were dying off. But maybe that is it i will try another water change and a new batch of carbon also put him in a qt tank.

had him for a few months feeding forumla1 and 2 and seaweed he seems to like frozen stuff also

Couple questions for you.... How old are your lights???are you using rodi water??? Have you rinsed the seagel???

Tanks still not looking great the kenya is dying in the QT tang isnt really looking any better and the cyano is spreading. lights are about 7-8 months old 4 t5's, using rodi TDS 0, and yes rinsed the seagel.......with everything going on clean out the pumps and skimmer now threads on skimmer are shot and it is leaking so i had to turn the tank off is there anyone in RI that has an old skimmer laying around that they are looking to sell. just not my week!
