Help with Ailing Blue Sympodium

I got this frag of sympodium about 2 months ago. Been doing great until the past 5-6 days. There are two separate clumps on the plug, as you can see below. The back clump was all pulled in when I got home on Sunday after being in Watertown for the weekend. The front clump looked fine, but starting yesterday, it has also been heavily withdrawn, with only a couple of polyps extending.

The first two pictures are focused more on the front clump, which seems to be the healthier of the two. I can't tell whether the polyps are gone or just very retracted.

When I googled issues with sympodium, the main culprit seems to be a variety of nudibranchs, but I have not observed any on this frag. Doesn't mean there's not one in there somewhere.... No recent additions to the tank other than turbo snails and some more ceriths yesterday.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I would think maybe the algae is irritating it. Just a thought from the pic. Trying getting rid of the algae on the plug

From my experience sympodium can be finicky at times, and can stay closed for days for really no reason. Perhaps consider doing a dip on the frag if you do not see any improvement to ensure that there is nothing on there bothering it. Just keep in mind that after a dip sympodium can stay closed for a few days.
