High mag

Hey guys just tested levels and ill post them but my mag is crazy high

Alk 8.4dkh
Calc 480
Mag 2000-2100

Never added any mag suppliment and using redsea salt..regular not rcps

Also gettin some stn on the base of two acros.. any relation

Phosphate is .018
But have minor hair algea which is binding obviously

Any idea on the stn and why my mag is so high..?

Did you measured a few times?

What are your nitrates/phosphates? What test kit are you using for Mg? That level seems extremely high especially if you never dose Mg. Maybe re check the Mg and see if you get the same results.

My bad, didn't look close enough. Do you have other sps/Lps in the tank as well?

I'm using red sea pro mg test
my phos is .018 with hanna url
And nitrate is 10-15ppm

Is the test kit old? Mg test kits are very sensitive as far as their expiration dates.

Not that old probably about 6 months.. I'm testing again very carefully

Yes. Mag should never be that high, especially since you don't dose for it. My guess would be a faulty test/kit. Are all your other sps doing fine?

All the other sps are dping great just noticed on my purple milli and my blueberry acro. Not all of them and I have a ton of sps. Doing a wc tomorrow and going to test mg in the new batch and See what I get.
