Hey all...
I have my 90g in my dining room and the existing fan on it is VERY noisy and it runs full speed all the time. I bought it second hand so I can only speculate that it's an ice-cap.
In any event, I'm looking at a project to completely enclose the hood (add a couple of hydraulic hinges for easy access to the tank and the lights.) Part of this will be replacing the single fan.
Questions:
1. Will replacement of the single fan with two fans reduce the operating speeds and noise? Or will double the fans equal double the noise?
2. In your opinion, what are the quietest and most efficient fans available for this purpose?
3. Will the fans recommended be automatically speed controlled by ambient temperature?
4. What's the reliability of suggested fans?
Thanks!!!
