Mine is so far so good lots of surface breaking water agitation and high turnover.

Mine went down and I have to hook back up the CO2 scrubber to the skimmer intake pipe to help offset the drop.

My windows have been shut all year, pH is low but plan on someday adding the kalk reactor, when that will be I have no idea.

Mine was running about 8.4+ during the day when windows were opening but now Im running at 8.2+ and getting low at 7.9 at night. Im thinking of adding a heat recovery exchanger vent in the room to help with recycling the air.

Hi, anyone dosing vinegar as carbon source with a high bioload? If so, what is your pH range?

I dose 24 ml of vodka a day. I also run a calcium reactor.

I have no idea. I have never once measured PH in my tank. I would assume it’s lower!!

Can't get it over 8 without the alk in the double digits! Thanks for bringing up THIS painful topic!!! Ha ha ha

do you k ow your room Co2 levels. my living room is about 750 when nobody’s in it if my wife and I are in there, it will get as high as 11 to 1200 doesn’t seem to suppress my pH too much. Of course when I have family gatherings for the holidays that’s a whole different story

sure is. How’s the new tank going along?
It’s going well. New growth on SPS frags is unbelievable. LPs like a big elegance coral began to open much better after a few weeks with the new lights also. I’m running Hamilton 10k bulbs and really like them. The halides are 15” off the water right now. Once I get them to a full 8-9 hours a day I plan to start dropping them lower. I get about 200 par on the bottom of the 24” deep tank now. Halides really give a different look, and I’m digging it. Shopping for clams now!

I don't know the ambient level. Perhaps it's why I always have a headache. There's never a consistent level because we sleep opposite and may be 1 dog or 2. All I know is don't use kalk to regulate pH unless you want alk over 14.

@SueAbu this is with 7 people in the room with the tank pretty substantial dip in my nightly PH due to the# of people in the room.
