How did everyone make out with the storm?

Lost power at 10:30 on sat, I have a 100w power inverter that was plugged in my car all night long running one koralia.... For the temp was doing bottles of water but, was sooo cold that I end it up having to wrap the tank with blinkets..... Called HD in CT two hours from my house and picked up the last generator..... Took me 5 hours to get there and come back as soon I put the generator together the lights came on :/

the 5000W elcheapo Coleman Powermate I bought about 6 years ago bailed us out yet again. Wood stove kept the house comfortable and the powermate kept the lights on and the well pump working. My only loss was my tuxedo urchin and I'm fairly certain I can't blame the storm for that. Now time to clean up all the tree damage.

I never lost power, I was sitting on the couch just watching the lights on the tank. Was preparing to run a cable from my truck's inverter to power some stuff, but never needed to. I really should test what it'll run though...

We lost power around 3 am Sunday morning and didn't get it back till 7 pm Tues.
I ran a hose from the basement and had my "Silent"air battery pump hooked to that running up through the floor to the tank.Made things much quieter when using it.
Sunday afternoon I pulled the carb off my 900 watt Harbor frieght gennie and cleaned it out while the tank ran on a 750 watt power invertor hooked to my truck battery.
I only kept the heater and a power head running in the tank. The gennie fired right up and ran fine for the duration of the power outage.I was able to run my fridge a power head and heater as well as a few lights with no problems.I have town water so we were fine with that and I heat with a wood stove.
So the house remained at a constant 70 deg.
Only issue was my invertor started flipping out when I tried to run the washing machine with it.Not sure if it's toast, keeps flashing "fault" and surging.
It a Harbor Frieght special as well.
Everything pulled through fine.Just seem to have some cyano growing more in my fug and around my chaeto.
Also my RBTA split last night.I plan to do a water change sometime this weekend.

Finally at 8:43pm tonight we have power back (went out Sat. night at 9:03pm). All is good (have generator+wood stove), minus the liquor cabinet :)
