Hydor Koralia Nano

Just bought a the Koralia Nano pump to add flow to my 10 gallon nano reef. Was wondering if any body else was using one in a 10 gallon tank. The only other source for flow in the tank is a Rio Nano Skimmer. What do you think, these to pieces to much flow or a good amount? Everywhere online says 10x the tank volume is good flow, this is pump is 24x the tanks volume. The store owner said that it would be ok, just thought I would check and see what other more experienced reef keepers thought.
Thanks

I have 2 running on a 20 gallon and the flow is just adequate... thinking of changing them out for greater flow... on a separate note, can you give us a review of the Rio Nano Skimmer you are using - any good? Do you think it would handle a 20 gallon?

As to the Rio Nano Skimmer, my girlfriend and I are really new to salt water with only 4 weeks of time with our first tank. So far we have not be able to get the skimmer to work properly. The filter part of the skimmer works fine and we really like it, it is not very noise either. The only thing that collects in our cup is dirty water, we can not get it to collect skimmate. We have seen what a skimmer should collect (bubbles in Sea Creatures skimmers) but have been unsuccessful. Plus the air suction is very noisy, this could be due to it not being adjusted correctly. When running the skimmer part we can not get rid of the micro bubbles that escape into the tank. The directions that come with the skimmer suck, unless our box is missing some instruction book. Sorry that I could not give a more knowledgeable review. On Tuesday we are going to take it to John at Sea Creature, he hasn't seen one before but has offered to help us figure it out. I will post again Tuesday if anything useful comes up.

i had bought a nano skimmer/filter in one a couple years ago and let me tell u that u get what u pay for...the only thing i collected as u said was water from the splashing of air lets say because it produces no bubbles...maybe mine was junk but thats my experience with that kind of skimmer if u need a hand onm i think i got a prizm cheap

Thanks for the info on the Rio Nano Skimmer... an update on my Koralia Nano Powerheads: after running them for around 3 weeks, one of them stopped working. I pulled it out of the water and tried to get it going again, but to no avail. As I wasn't pleased with the flow of the 2 nanos in my 20 gallon, I returned them - I guess it's back to the old tried and true MJs.

I am against them all together. I am on my 3rd; again releasing small electrical current into my tank.

I'm running 2 nanos in a modded jbj 12g nano, sps tank for flow reference...As far as nano skimmer's there is only 1 out there that actually works at this point in time, tunze DOC 9002, All the others are JUNK!!! Euroreef may have a better offering soon however.....

Max i would use the tunze on is 30g btw...its rated for 52g.
