What do folks use hydro peroxide for? Is it to combat cyano, micro bubbles on rocks or something else?

I use a 50/50 dip to clean algae (all kinds) off of equipment. Works well. people also use it to dip incoming coral plugs if they have algae on them....mainly bryopsis.
