Hydrogen peroxide dip

Reading a sticky on Reef2Reef using Hydrogen Peroxide dip to rid corals and plugs of algae. I am doing a transfer to a new tank in a few weeks and would like a 'CLEAN' start without some of the algae issues I'm dealing with now. I'm at a point of not using any of my existing corals in the new tank but I have a few I would really like to use in the new tank but not at the expense of introducing more problems. I would really appreciate any input on this method or other ways to salvage some of my stock. I still have eight or ten weeks to treat prior to the transfer and I just set up a temporary tank in the basement it's "CLEAN" and ready to work any magic I may come up with.

I've had good luck with peroxide dips killing visible algae, but I don't know the effectiveness in terms of achieving a total kill.

Tried that with bryopsis..hair algae and it did not work... so proceed with caution.

I used it once on bryopsis too. I poured it over the rock, let it fizzle for about 15-30 seconds, and then rinsed it off and put it back. The next day the algae was all white and a few days later it was gone. It didn't seem to hurt the coral but most of the time it came creeping back. I think you would have to do multiple dips to eradicate the algae completely and I don't how coral would tolerate it. Also there are different strengths of peroxide and if it's old or in a container that had already been opened it's probably no good. Maybe that explains the different results people are reporting.
