I need help with my overflow box

I had some black acrylic cut up for me but they wanted to charge me $90 to make the vents for the overflow box. I tried with a Dremel but I didn't like the look of it so if there's anybody near my area that can cut the vents out I would be very great full. It's the last peace to set up my 6.5 Fluval Edge upgrade I've been working on thanks.

i am also doing the same thing i was told to use glass because Glass and acrylic doesnt bond well........
just something to look out for........

If you have a table saw you can make the cuts with that and leave the angle part towards the internal part of the overflow. You can also take a round file s and clean up the bottoms

Just make sure you use a Zero clearance plat around the saw so you do not break off the acrylic teeth.

I actually use a dove tail jig w/router to make mine but the table saw works well too

I dunno if this trick works for acrylic but I used to put the saw blade in my tablesaw backwards to cut some other softer plastics, left nice clean edges and no chip out.

I dont have a table saw, And I tried a jig saw but it just made a mess the acrylic malted and then harden way to fast for me to move it this will be my third try with this overflow box. I had one already per drilled with the vent holes but I want to try and have loc line go throw the overflow box and I cut into deep and had to order another box to be made up from plactics unlimited. I cant wait to have this all done my fluval looking lonely without water

You can use you jig saw.Get a blade for plastics and go much,much slower with the blade speed.
