I think my tank has a crack!is it safe for while?

Just noticed it the other day.about a 3/8" long and right in the front.No chips and it feels like it is on the inside.Should I be concerned?
I suppose that's a bumb question..Let explain.... my problem is that my back is fubared and am having a major operation Jan 10. and can not do much about it now(unless I was to get some help from someone) or for about 4 months.

Are you sure it is not a scratch? If it is a crack I would not let it go. I am sure you can get some good BRS people to help out.

How old is the tank?

Not a 100%sure.But judgeing by the reflected light.....I am going to measure it in the following days to see if it's traveling.It is a marineland RR 6 months old.

I would suggest that you start making water if you don't have a bunch, if you really think its a crack.

Besides waiting to see if it spreads is there a way to tell if it's a csratch or not?
I gotta gwt some rest and will check it out tommorrwo first thing.It seems by your responcces I shouldn't leave for any length of time? thanks for the offerrs of help. What a group gotta love it.

Hoping that I'm being paraniod for nothing but I'd rather be safe than sorry!Got 30 gal of h2o ready and 40 more coming.I measured the length w/ calipers last night w/actinics on and it was .400".All lights are on now and I get .350"...guess I'll wait for actinics and then measure!Really,really hoping I'm just being bumb a** right now.

Andy, Yes I can!oh so slightly.
If it was crack I wouldn't think you be able to feel it at all?

Not sure Bill....I know a scratch on my old tank would be more noticeable when I didn't clean the glass...try running a razor over it....still think it is a scratch....good luck man!! with the surgery too!!
