Does it have a clawed mouth or just a tiny mandibles?

looks like a big a";; leach. did you find that in your tank

LOL, I didn't really get that close. The head thinned down to a needle point, like a proboscis, rooting around as it explored the table top, just prior to its death.

It was wrapped on a GSP rock I got from mogulski71. He said his tank was up for about 7 years. It really looked like black sponge then it started moving and really creeped me out, which doesn't happen often :).

In worm hell it is.

how do you know it was a bad worm? i think it was kinda cool looking

Direct quote from a related video to yours, located here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwcEYAGu07E "The brown nemertean worm is Paranemertes peregrina and the polychaete is Nereis virens. The namertean likes to prey on polychaetes by shooting out its long proboscis and temporarily paralyzing the polychaete." I'd guess your worm was Nereis virens

that would be sick in a species only tank.. hell with mantis's.. i want a tank with just that.

What about this guy? Arenicola marina (lugworm) my only issue is he tends to be a cooler water dweller
