ID Please Good or Bad Crab.

He looks to be a good guy for my sps. Need some input he came on a piece of rubble rock I got yesterday. Thank You. Does any one have a site with acro crabs. I checked old site but they don't work.

Definitely not an emerald, just some standard crab hitchhiker. You will never get an acro crab on rubble, they only come in acros... they can't survive otherwise.

Whether it's safe or not is a tossup.. most are harmless.. the occasional one causes trouble like everything else.

Ive always heard if its not fuzzy and doesn't have black tips on the claws then your good. Anything is possible I would toss him in the fuge.

I wouldn't put it in the fuge because it would probably eat a lot of the pods killing the brood stock.

Looks like a baby rock crab...They are harmless when small...when they grow they will snap snail & hermit shells in half to eat....They can get the size of a ping pong ball..(that is when they are nasty!!!)
