I tough I was never going to ask for and ID ever.. Well I figured that I could find anything in google. Well Not this time! lol
Long story short when I woke up this morning I went checking for my new ruby scooters (Thanks LEDREEF for finding the fish for me) so I went around the tank with the flashlight and found this wired creature with this peacock feather looking on my live rock I have never seen in my years of reefing now the ? Have anyone seen or have an idea of what it could be?

Is that a part of a mantis shrimp sticking out of a hole in the rock it could be hiding in?

It looks like it could be one of the tail pieces of a peacock mantis shrimp. I am not sure.

Have you added any live rock to the tank recently? Are you missing any fish or inverts?

The pattern does not match any segment of a mantis shrimp that I can see. It was the first thing I though as well, however if you examine the margin of the blue/green area, it does not match. Does it move? It is flat and soft, like a fin, or is it rigid?

Did it go into the hole when you shined the light on it? Kind of looks like the tail of a fish but I'm looking at a small pic on my phone. Was it more of a shell looking thing?

Ok this is the first time I seen this in my tank so don't really know if it moves around it really looks like a feather in all of the aspects. Not a mantis for sure I had them before and nothing close.

it didn't move at all when I pointed with the light I have never seen it during the day.

Looks like the tail fin of a fish to me as well. Ever "lose" a wrasse or other fish in there?

I would say a fish as you can see the ridge lines in the tail fin.

Definitely a Mystery Wrasse Tail.

Definately looks like a fish tail.

But where did the rest of it go?

the rest of the wrasse was inside the hole.
