I'm thinking Chemi-Clean weekend...

This morning the skimmer was still putting out a ton of micro-bubbles.
Had half a cup of skimmate overnight.
I'll have to watch this. The last time it happened after epoxying a bunch of stuff down,my frogspawn started letting off streams of slime.Hopefully this wont last too long.So far I'm very happy with the results.

If you are worried just do another small water change. It will make a big difference. I personally would have done at least a 15 gallon WC on a 55 gallon (especially if it has a fuge or sump).

No fuge or sump yet.
I'll do that when I upgrade to at least a 110 gallon and plumb to the fish room.:p
I purchase my ro/di so I had to save some for top-offs til my next trip to the LFS.Or hopefully the new ro/di will be here before the weekend, ordered it Saturday.I'll do another change if things don't calm down with the skimmer soon.Man,I can't wait for my own ro/di unit.

you need to do a WC. Id make the trip to get some water.

We have 35 gal of ro/di water if you need some in Spencer!

Thanks for offering,snick.
I might take you up on that.
I'm thinking you'll be closer than heading out to N. Providence.
I have another 5 gallon jug of ro/di left.I'll mix that up and change some more out and see how that goes.I'll let you know tomorrow.
I checked arrival on my ro/di and it wont be in til Tuesday.

Steve,
I changed out 20% but still getting some micro-bubbles.
I'm guessing this is normal?
Have you used this product before?

Well after using chemi-clean you should do a 20-40% waterchange and then run the carbon. If you arnt running new carbon (added after waterchange) you are still going to have the chemi clean in your tank which will produce the microbubble you are seeing.

I put a new pad and carbon in last night after I did the water change of 12 gallons.I also added a Poly Pad in the filter as well.Definitely want to get the stuff out of the system now that it's done it's job.
The skimmer is pulling skimmate,I wonder if this stuff is the chemi-clean.

*not really worried about it.This Bak Pak 2 is better than the old style. But it still microbubbles even when I have my hands in the tank long or stir up sand.

No prob, someone is usually here after 3 pm.

Not sure where Dudley is but I have about 30 gallons in Norwood if you need it as well.

Dudley is just south of Worcester, borders CT..
There's a couple others on this site that share my island also.lol

Is it bad that about a month ago I ran chemi clean and didnt use carbon? Everything looks pretty healthy (except my xenia which Ive never been able to keep happy).

I did another 5 gallon water change last night.
Then cleaned and soaked and ran my skimmer pump in vinegar for an hour.
Got the skimmer running again and still had micro bubbles.Left it running through the night and this morning all was back to normal.I looked in the skimmer cup and wondered why the bubbles are the top weren't alling in the cup. Then noticed that the cup was right to the top.
Filled with light green skimmate that had barely a smell to it.
Tank looks great and nothing died.
Chemi clean gets a thumbs up from me!:D

PS
Thanks for all the offers for RO/DI.
I might have to take up Nicole and Steve on their offer if my unit doesn't arrive early next week.
