I saw this vid about a fish room build and was really impressed. I think the guy addresses almost all the problems we encounter. I really like the floor idea and I wish I had a sump like that!

I can't tell. I mean how could you put your sump above your tank?

He can dump as much water on the floor drain as possible until the whole room stink up badly.

I thought of that too! I wouldn't purposely dump water on it but it's a good idea for spills. You could always use a little bleach if you had to.

you could put a sump above your tank , drain the tank to a smaller sump under stand and pump it to upper sump , then gravity drain to tank . if thats all you have for space it could work , BTW I can't see the video cause when links are like that I can't see them unless on phone . any tips how to fix that ?

i usually don't like his videos, but that one was pretty good. May have to watch him again I think he is scheduled to speak at this years OSRAS conference.
