I have had this toadstool for a few years now . The pic does not really do it justice. Is it a green Tyree leather?
If so is it a limited edition and what makes them limited editions. I have been noticing that a lot lately.

That looks nice, but it's probably not a tyree toadstool. That looks like a normal green, the tyree "LE" is extra green.

agreed, the Tyree Toad will be neon green (very bright) under any light..............nice piece still

LE corals are a marketing gimmick also referred to as designer corals. Tyree limits the sales of his corals as to draw interest and gain value, people want what they cannot have. The climate has changed a bit and reefkeepers are pretty successful and have been for some time. So it is pretty common for LE corals to be plentiful regardless of their sellers original intent. But one thing to note even Tyree is not sure everything he has is original

But as far as ID, if you do not know where it came from then any info anyone gives you is just guessing. And also the result of many of these supposed LE corals being plentiful, when many are just a corals that looks like the LE in question and someone gave them a LE ID on a forum or something.

For me if the coral is something I like and fits my price then It is good if not then I move on. Not that there are not Designer corals I don't like, it just doesn't weigh into the decision of what I put in my tank.

If what you have isnt the Tyree tood you should be able to find one on BRS. Though fairly extensive aqua culturing they are readily available in the club. Lots of people have them.

Yes lots of people have them but some think they are the only ones with them.. Easy piece to find, and yours is quite nice BTW.

Thanks everyone! It is starting to get quite large and I keep toying with the idea of fragging it but I can not bring myself to cutting it.
