Only if noone is looking... :D

There was a thread about this on RC the other day, basically you can collect up to a certain amount of fish or coral a day. There are some that are restricted I know sps is one of them, not sure what the other ones were. I'm sure you could do a search though

Nope.

And he will get caught. As a former Floridian, they inspect packages all the time coming from Florida.

However, you can get a permit. Having done this myself (except it was for plants) you need to affix the permit on the box you're shipping, etc. I am not sure what the permit would allow you to collect.

Matt:cool:

Mmm I should probably keep the receipt if I buy livestock when I am in Florida next month.

then mail it back to Kevins cousin so he can stick it on the box of stuff he grabs:D

its only illegal if you get caught, i was told by a floridian they could collect for personal use only. but if you collect it, then send it, and say it came from your tank i dont think that they would waste the time and resources to find out where it really came from.

I once went collecting with one of the divers from Tampa Bay Saltwater. He had a license, and could collect all kinds of stuff like sponges, gorgonians, snails, cucs, starfish, etc., but hard corals were off the list (except on the rock that they had dumped that was on the plot that they leased).

I believe that a fishing license in FL with allow you to collect a few fish and even some snails and such.

I would call FL fish and game .The call will be less than bail if you get the wrong info!
