In search of either a Tang or Blenny to help with hair algae control in my 20 gallon waterbox - open to anything else that will help control it or advice from anyone who is also struggling with hair algae, would love to hear what worked for you :)

With a 20 gallon tank I would go with a snail clean up crew and control your nutrients. A tang would be too big and not happy in your tank. You could go with an algae blenny but you might have to re home when it gets bigger.

Aside from what have already mentioned, a sized clean up crew and control feeding habits, a sea urchin may help with algae as well. From past experience, what worked best was fluconozol, or commercial name reef flux - follow instructions closely and effects can be seen 7-10 days after use. hth
