Jebao WP 40 wavemaker review

So after almost 2 months of the wp 40 set on W1, tonight I decided to play around with other modes. I just set mine on "else" mode and to be honest I think it looks AWESOME!! It looks a bit more natural then w1 but w1 is still sweet too. Anyone else go from w1 to else mode? Or does anyone run theirs on else mode 24/7. Looking for a few peoples opinions because im thinking of keeping it on else mode now!

I have been running the WP40 for two months now and loving it. Purchased it from Archit at Love The Reef.

I try all different modes.
I switch it up when I get home from work. Generally have it start in w2 or one.
But,I've also ran it in low all day as well.

Stingy I saw you had a 90 also and you run just a single wp40 for water movement. Do you have any sps. I have one koralia left in my tank but only have it come on in 10 second bursts and I honestly don't even think I need the koralia

Most of my sps died when I had a heater issue a year ago.
I do have lps and a confusa, monticap corals that's sps.

Got to played with wp40 for a week now and I lovr it. This is hand down better than vortech.

I have 2 mp40wes and 1 mp10wes.

I leave both of my WP-40s on "Else" in my 125. I have the frequency control set to the slowest setting on both. I kept the night sensors in, but they only work in dim lighting, so they are on like normal during the night. I have had them for I think 3 months now and have 0 complaints!

I got my Jebao WP-40 in 5 business days from Hong Kong bought from Fishstreet. So far I'm loving it, the controller is intuitive, easily settable and makes me wonder why I spent so much money on 2 Ecotechs in the past.

+1 My wp25 out perform a MP40 in the same size and shape tank with less than 1/4 of the cost. If I am not loaded with Tunzes (before WP25/40 came out), I will get a bunch of WPs.

I really like the wp25 in my 54g corner. I tend to switch it up between w1, w2, and else every few weeks. Using the light sensor so runs night mode at night. I didn't mount the light sensor direct under the MHs due to hearing about burnouts. It is mounted to side of tank where ambient room light is causing switch between day/night. So it doesnt match the light timer. Corals dont seem to care.

Have a koralia 750 on opposite side pointed directly at wp25. Causes good random turbulence in else mode while still nice standing wave in w1.

Where do you have the wp25 mounted in your corner tank. I'm thinking of putting one in a friend of mines tank and she has a 92 gallon. I'm curious how the wave will look in corner tank.

So any updates and or performance reviews? How long have you had them up and running without and problems? what has been your maintenance routine on them? Typically I can go 6-9 months for my old tunzes until they need a vinegar soak and just curious is the flow rate and performance is still great after several months on the WP40?

I'm curious about that as well.
I'm kinda kicking myself in the a** for getting a MP10 instead of 2 wp-10's... not confident i made the right choice.

After having wp40, it make a MP40 one of the most stupid purchase ever. I just don't see why i should even continue to use the Mp40, it is noisy, cost the same in electricity with much less water pushing power, i can't direct the water flow direction, etc. so I unplugged it and shelf it.

I need to clean the wp-25 every 4-6 weeks or so else the water volume being pushed falls off. Also need to clean the koralia 750 in my DT same interval. This is probably more related to the unique setup vs the product itself. Have had my wp-25 for 6-7 months and still happy.

2nd best equipment purchase behind a controller (RKL).

Haven't had to clean mine at all yet. It still pushes the same amount of a water volume as the first day. My lawnmower blenny keeps the outside clean except for the coralline. Still probably best purchase I have made for my tank.

Any ideas where I can get a replacement plug? The actual plug part that plugs into the wall that is. They sell replacement controllers on fish street but they don't come with that section.
