thanks, got the sps selection from a mutual friend :) the only reason I didn't was because the stand I bought from another reefer and it wasn't built to have a sump, so instead of fixing it I decided to go HOB. If I did it again I would add a sump. I could do it now but I would have to cut open the cabinet, and I'm no carpenter.

LOL, hey bud I have a lead on a tank and stand. I was going to buy it myself to make dual tanks but if you want I'll give you the info via pm

The stand is worth it alone if you want to put a sump in it

I appreciate the offer, but I think if I do anything I'll mess around with what I have. It's probably gonna be sumpless for a year or 2 until i move out and have to move it..I'll either upgrade to a sump or a larger tank then, or at least that's how it goes in my head haha.

You know what I encourage you to do it that way because you might break the ice for a simpler setup.. You know people just want to see it work. I can tell you one thing or many water changes water changes water changes. Do them often no matter what !!! It's like opening a window in a smoke filled house, very relieving for the occupants!!!

I tend to be pretty good with my water changes. Usually every weekend, this week if got pushed a few days.

My next equipment is an HOB filter, just to run chem elite and filter floss. And an auto top off from a 5 gal reservoir. I say I'll go sumpless now but I know by the summer I'll have made a master plan and done it. Always something else to do to the tank.

While out bud!! Me too my 29 needs a couple things like a skimmer and I really want to add a fuge ... But it is dollars and cents and I'm doing this in my budget I'm sure like you too.

Yuppp, I still got that CPR Dave mentioned if you want it, I'd trade it for a bta if it splits :p

I have a med CPR HOB refugium on the back of my 29. It works pretty good. It just has sand, rubble and chato in it. When I got it they didnt make an led light for them so I DIYed a 3 cree led light for it. Grows chato very well. Keeps my Ph from diving at night. It also grows pods. Just wanted to give kinda a review if you do decide to go that route.
