June Meeting and Fish Goo

Okay folks. We are still missing a few volunteers for stuff and we really need a blender. Step right up and join in the fun!!!


Fish Goo Recipe

2 cans of Clams (Canned w/juice) - susyq
1-2 bags of the raw frozen Shrimp
1 bag frozen Scallops - ginad
1 lb Mussles (Grocery Store) - substitute talapia - ginad
1 tub Color Enhancing Flake Food - clurin
1 tub Granulated Fish Food
Selcon
Vitamin C - randoma
Castor Oil - susyq
Reef Vitamin and Mineral Suppliment -
3-5 heads of Garlic - jcheung
1 bottle Basic Liquid Filter Feeder Food
Dried Plankton suppliment - mdvb25 via pillowfish
1 container Decapsulated Brine Shrimp Eggs
6-10 sheets of Nori - mdvb25 via pillowfish
1 package of Mysis Shrimp - fulin
1 package Rotifer Perls (brineshrimp direct)
1 package Frozen Brine Shrimp
Blender
1-2 boxes of quart sized freezer bags. - randoma, heather

I'll also get the liquid feeder food (already have that) and sign me up for the frozen brine shrimp too.


If we get many more volunteers, then someone can take the brine.

We've used our blender for making fish goo. A trip through the dishwasher and you'd never guess!

I will bring my blender then. If I get creeped out and subconsciously smell or even worse TASTE fish goo the next I make a banana smoothie I will donate it to the club for fish goo use.

I have a meat grinder that will be here. Works great for making shrimp etc into just the right sized and shaped chunks for mimicking mysis without making a lot of juice.

I dropped off a blender at Pillowfish's place... plus Seaweed (purple) and some VitaChem....

I'll be bringing some Golden Pearsl, 800-1000 micron size. Just in the FWIW category, for those who might be worried about feeding something to their tank that is largely soluble (added nutrients) there is an optional way of dealing with this stuff. I plan to bring mine home and add it to some unflavored gelatin, and then freeze it. It should (or at least I'm hoping) then hold together a bit upon thawing, and your fish should be able to ingest all the soluble stuff.

I just seen this thread I cna bring the osterizer it has been given the official goo blender status

will also bring shrimp pellet/granulated fish food and whatever else I can find here I have brine but not decapsulated if I have the bleach and time I will decap them
I will not be there till app. 1-130 though does this work ?

I think Susan and Mauro are running around pretty fast with Tabittha trying to get the food together. Not likely they will be able to update. I'd take a look at the list and see what was previously listed as needed and have a look at the posts below.
