Junk build-up, I know others have seen this..can u tell me what's the cause...Thanks

it's not algae. It's just seems like stringy dirt or debris that builds up on rock, powerheads, and even the
cords off the powerheads. It just waves in the flow. It comes off easily but looks dirty and makes a mess
when you touch it. Is it a flow or filtration problem that causes the build up? I'm getting a grdul build up
in the past few weeks.
