I always go through phases where I tell myself I should wear my full arm length gloves to prevent any of my cuts from being infected but I never follow through unfortunately as I loose so much dexterity but I do wash my hands before and after but it's always a risk sticking our hands in our tanks I just choose to accept the risks and I know to tell the ER docs if anything were to happen to me I have a reef tank!

I hate the gloves too, so if I know I have a cut, I use liquid bandage. It stings a little, but stays on for a long time. It's like crazy glue.

They don’t say, but I would guess this was a freshwater aquarium. Tons of other pathogens and toxins, just not Burkholderia
