I won the Steve Tyree auction for this LE coral 10-15 years ago. I think the 1 inch frag cost more than this colony. It was supposed to be a very slow growing coral but turned out one of the fastest SPS I ever raised.

Haha I was looking at Steve's website recently and was fun to see some of the names of old friends listed as auction winners. One of my long time reefing mentors had one of the first efflo frags from Steve.

It's hard to tell from the photo. To me it looks like a red montipora hirsuta.
