hi everyone, figured i asked but me and another member (Yariel0527) are going to be ordering some diy leds from rapidled.com and i have personally talked to someone from that company but this is what we will be getting at 950.00 each (and maybe cheaper if their were more people)

-96x leds half white and half blue
-8x dimmable driver
-4x heat sink (5.9x9 that holds 24 led predrilled with screws)
-4x fans
-2x red led
-and all of the wires and connections to make the led and fans operate.....

Also are there other choices for quantity? I have a 72 gallon and may not need that many bulbs. I am quite interested in LED's and would be quite interested in your approach.

I would be quite interested in your approach here. Do you know if you can get packages with less quantity of LED's? I may not need 96 LED's on a 72 gallon. Like the enthusiasm.

4 x drilled/tapped 5.9" x 9" heatsinks (24 LEDs each)
4 x 92mm fans
4 x 12V AC adapters
4 x DC Jack Adapters (to connect the fans to the AC adapters)
2 x Red LEDs

this is what was sent to me so if you went to rapidled you can see the driver and led model numbers

fwiw, ledgroupbuy.com has the best prices on leds alone, but thier selection of drivers isnt that good iirc

Theyre the same leds (brand, color), only difference is in bin, which ledgroupbuy does not list on cool whites xp-g. im not sure why not...

the bin is listed, its the tint thats not, wc, wg ect is tint or chromacity, the bin is r5, r4, t6, ect

Are other packages available to the group buy? Maybe less LEDs and maybe with or without heat sinks. Might be able to get more people interested if there were multiple options.
