light question for sps

i just recently bought a T5 light fixture for my 90 gallon tank off another memeber here. it has 6 x 54 watt bulbs giving me a total of 3.6 watts per gallon.

my question is, can i get sps for my tank? or do i need to have MH in order to get sps. i dont want to go thr route of MH and i don't have any sps now. i was just wondering.

thanks for the help.

You shouldn't have any trouble keeping SPS under 324w of T-5's. Might need to keep some of the higher light SPS in the upper levels of the tank.

excellent. i thought i would need a MH light kit. i am very happy with T5.

so what would warrant a MH light fixture?

Just a different lighting system. MH makes the water have a shimmer effect you just don't get with T-5's. SPS will grow well under either system watt per watt.

clams like MH light intensity
