Lighting for LPS

I want to slowly go all LPS with a few oursiders like zoos and rics. Call me crazy but I like nice LPS much better than all other corals.

I have a 2X250 over my 90 but I am running 20K's.

Most my LPS are in the lower half of the tank now and are all doing well. Is 2X250 with 20K's going to be to strong for most LPS upper in the tank? IT would probably be cheaper for me to sell the PFO and go with lower lighting anyway.

I have heard that micros like a lot of light but not sure about all the other corals...

Thanks

From the guy (Chris) i got micromussa and lord, someone with amazing collections and great experienced handling LPS, he suggested micromussa and lord will get the best color out of higher watt and higher kelvin. I starting to place mine higher in the frag tank and they seems to like it so far. Then again, blasto is been told prefer less light so is the chalice. If you keep the 250W you might need to create a rock work where some area can provide some shading for LPS that need less light. I would try it out with the current light before you see any result on your corals. Easier to changet it later, better than chance it but without knowing if your current system might actually work well for you.

I used to have my acans in direct MH lighting and the color's seem to fade, but one I shaded them abit the colors came back also first thing in the morning they show the best color and then lighten up but not as much as before.
