I've been wondering about lighting requirement for LPS. Right now I have a hammer and a torch, which are looking great. Other than that, just softies. I've got no experience with the more "exotic" LPS like acans, blastos, etc. Are there any that do well under PC lighting, or do they require MH? Thanks!

you would be fine with pc lights even better with t-5's.

If you ever planning to go into the whole acan/micro/chalice etc etc craze, get at least T5. Some of them like high light.

However, I would highly recommend you do not. If you want to know why, I will let you log into my paypal account and count the transactions for the last year or so.:p

they can be addicting Tom, huh? so many colors but so expensivo.

You'll get better colors from T5s. For a LPS tank many aquaculturists use T5s for extreme colors you can get from them. Lps dont require being blasted by light. You get good growth from regular feedings.
