Lighting Upgrade Biocube 29 Gal

I just got a ai prime hd for my 29g it comes in the mail tomorrow. I also have egg crate for a top on it.

How do you like the prime hd on the biocube 29?

I put the rapid led retro kit in mine. Puts out more light than you need. They have a solder and non solder kit. Its pretty easy if your handy.

LED is too blue.
I think a 2 ft ati fixture should be a good fit for your tank.

it would look terrible with a big light over hanging the edges

I was looking at the ai hydra 26 but am undecided if I want to retro the hood or remove it.

i did the retro was nice but ended up taken hood off
never really did get the look i want in the hood being so close to water but everything grew great
i own 3 ai hydra 26hd and love them

Why dont you give us a list of lights that you have been eying and that you have a hard time deciding which to go with.
Because alot of people will give you good opinion on just the light that they have bought or have used even knowing that the light they used was a bad light.
I've used Radion gen 1 and 2, they weren't that great of a light (not much better than the Ebay blackbox) but I dont want to blame myself for buying a bad light especially when I paid $500-600 each.
