List of LFS's - need input

There are apparently two other stores in Portland. I'll see if I can find the names (or maybe one of the Mainers can chime in).

There is a pet store in Wilmington, MA. but I don't remember the name (on rt 38). They have some salt water fish and inverts and anemones.

Sea Creature
is in north providence and its not plural.

2 other places Reef and Fin in stamford ct they have a great selection of corals
and another is Puppy Center in Hartford Ct nice selection and great prices. i now see there are more places we need to go to on the list above cant wait to check them out.

It's called "Wilmington Pet & Garden Supply". Never shopped for SW/reef stuff there, but they sometimes had less common freshwater fish in stock.

There's also Textile Aquarium in Lowell. They're the ones responsible for getting me into SW back in college.

Creature, Creature, Creature in North Smithfield, RI
Ri Aquarium & Pet Ctr in Prov, RI
Water World Aquarium in Chepachet, RI

ive found creature x 3 has nothing worthwhile and RI pet center will tell you anything to sell a product or fish, plus the quality of stock isnt up to par---many things look on their last leg.

Sea Creature in N Prov usually has a nice selection of just about everything and Johns cool. Cant wait till he gets done with the remodel...place is gonna be wicked. :)

CRA has some awesome corals and a huge selection but everytime i go in there I feel like an outcast and that im bothering people by asking questions. JMO.

Fishy Business is always a wonderful trip for me. Great corals and Mark is always willing to talk.

Cindy, I work at Pets Plus in Tewksbury, the original store (my boss Matt owns both), and my friend Ben just started in Londonderry. Glad to hear you like it-right now I'm their long-distance reef tank specialist (only a phone call away). I heard they got a donation of frags on Saturday-was that you? Nanoreefer, the store you mean is Wilmington pet, which IMO should be shut down by the health department. All their SW stuff is kept in 6X6 sterile cubes, no substrate, no rock. I walked in not long ago to find them acclimating a large engineer goby into their freshwater system. They've lost my business forever.

All About Animals on John Fitch Hwy in Fitchburg. They are a local animal store. But they do have about 35-45 saltwater tanks.most of the time well stocked.Couple of coral tanks too!

I stopped in (they are just over walking distance from my house) and found one of the employees on the phone in front of the SW tank acclimating a carnation and a big dark purple gorgonian. He was holding a sw ID book and looking confused. I brought him back some frags of corals a little more suitable for a first reef tank. I also gave them the brs website address. I've got high hopes fr the store since it is so close. The employees seem to really care about the animals, but they need a little help on the SW end right now.

Folks, let's attempt to keep this thread on track. This is not a 'rate the LFS' thread. If you want to 'vent' about a shop, start your own thread. I am making NO judgements about ANY shop. I am only attempting to collect information about what shops exist. FWIW, in the last poll that was performed there were only ratings for the best stores. There were no 'this is the worst store' ratings. I will not be removing any shops from the list as that would bias the survey. You will all have your chance to complete the poll.

The following shop mentioned is well beyond the 2 hour drive from Boston limit and will be excluded from the poll for that reason:
