Ah, yes, I used to live in WR, and spent way too much time at that Home Depot. Indeed, there is a Pet-something right across the street. It's definitely in West Roxbury -- I just checked the HD web site -- 1213 VFW Parkway, WR. I don't know the exact name of the pet store though, and have never been in, so I have no idea what's in there.

That's not what we were talking about. There is (or was anyway) a Pet-something right on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury (not Dedham) across from the Home Depot.

Unless of course the original Dedham was wrong and by just off you mean right on. In which case then this is what we were talking about.

Just took a trip to "Little Shop of Pets" in Portsmouth but its gone

no signs of a new location or anything.

Very small store. I've been there a few times, but not for a while. A few years back they had some great corals at great prices, but the last time I was there (over 6 months ago) their live stock wasn't in tip top shape (...grumbling under my breath about how it's still 100x better than the local stores here in New Bedford)

I don't know how long it's been since you've been there. I know they've moved twice in the last 7 years or so. They've always been on the same road though.

Petco in Peabody, Ma is really upgrading their salt department. Even carrying some live rock.

Zoo Creatures in Plaistow NH on Rt 125. It took them a while to get the SW dept striaghtened out, but looks good now. No corals or other inverts yet, but coming soon I'm told.

Yes i think pets plus is a chain,there is one in Brockton at the westgate plaza.
Not worthy of the list though IMO

I think this list is a bad idea and is the makings of a survey that will not have a lot of meaning and that will be too long. I think we should limit to sponsors or have some sort of minimum requirement. this is basically a brainstorm of every place that has any saltwater tanks. I have been to many of these stores and can say that about 1/2 the members of BRS most likely have more gallons of saltwater then alot of them.

I saw someone on RC gave this list to an out of towner from FL looking for different color Ricordia. I would say about 1/2 the stores on the list have never had a ricordia of any color in them. At many of them you would be lucky if they knew what a ricordia was. I would be so dissapointed if I was out of town and picked some of them off the list. I would think wow those BRS people really dont have decent stores, look what they gave me as a store to go to!

Some of these places have 100 gallons or less of tanks!!

I know this thread isnt to judge/rate any stores which is why I mention no names. I really think we should just limit it to sponsors. That is what it will come down to anyway since those are the stores that the most people have been too. Some little store with 4 10 gallon tanks that 3 people who live nearby have been to in a pinch shouldnt be even on the list to complicate things.
