They had been on downhill for years

Scott Michaels book will serve as a great resource for those who used that website as a reference.
I've used it since it came out in 2001ish

Somebody on Reddit posted this from their bankruptcy court filing... they're seeking court approval to abandon 200k worth of live fish because they're "burdensome" to the estate...

Unsure of the law language here, but does it mean euthanizing or letting go at a loss since pets are considered property under most law filing

Generally, in these terms, "abondonment" will mean taking a loss to stop further loss. I cant imagine any probate judge letting thousands of fish die, so I'd assume there would be offers to wholesalers for pennies

Saw @Spaceman comments on the other post, they are now doing 20% off sitewide with code weresrry so I assume they are letting go livestocks at a loss

Still pretty damn expensive tho even at 20% off, I was just browsing their catalog

I think they mean the fish and coral located in Liveaquaria facility (Diver’s Den etc).
TFI, the mother company and their facility in Ca will continue to serve their clients.

Also, for a company like this, 200K of live animals is very small amount of fish and coral. Even a well established LFS has more than that.

Very glad to see they aren't just killing off the livestock, that'll be pretty atrocious

What lfs have you visited that holds 200k in livestock on hand?

Just saw this on Facebook..
just be warned Inheard a rumor that the new live aqauaria website may be a fraudulent imposter. have not received full confirmation though. Buyer beware.

There's a few posts on r2r of people receiving their orders , wether or not their in good health that's another subject

I would imagine @dz6t has much more than 200k in his basement at retail prices from what I've seen
No way there is 200k in livestock in his basment lol you offer him 200k he would gladly sell you his livestock i wluld bet 10 bucks on that. 200k of livestock to live aquarium is 400k retail... I wish a lfs store 200k livestock but we dont live in Orlando and have access to farms because even wwc or topshelf retail stores I would say are about 100-150k to stock there tanks.
