does anyone have a longnose hawkfish

if so, has it ever bothered your corals, shirimp, or clean up crews??

i was thinking of getting one, i told my local dealer i may get it and he just got one in today, he said it may bother shrimp and i have 2 blood, a cleaner, and a peppermint shrimp

here's what I found on wetwebmedia about hawkfish:

"These colorful, interesting fishes are undemanding in terms of water quality & foods; they get along well with other species and are generally fast-enough and tankmate-wise to avoid being hassled. But remember; their mouths are quite large, so watch out when adding shrimps and small fishes because your Hawkfish is watching out for them."

and

"Regarding reef systems: Be forewarned that a Hawkfish's large jaws and sharp teeth are ideal devices for capturing crustacea. Some small species are ideal reef additions, but they will eat crustaceans and "worms". Watch out shrimps!"

And this from animal-world.com

"They are very hardy and disease resistant. Longnose Hawkfish are well suited to both marine aquariums and reefs. They will not bother corals in a reef, but will eat smaller ornamental shrimp and smaller hermit crabs."

I have no personal experience, so take it for what it's worth.

I had one. Pretty fish. No problem with coral but might eat small fish and inverts.
Mine jumped from the tank and died.

Is there a reason overflows arent covered? doesn't it get annoying after a while?

I have one and have no problems with my inverts. I have 2 cleaner, 1 fire, 1 coral banded, and at least 3 peppermints of various sizes. He did totally disappear for a few weeks once and I think he jumped into the overflow and back out again. Other than that I have absolutely no idea where he was.

I asked the same question about a month ago when I got mine with mixed responses. So far, mine hasn't touched a thing, but my cleaner's are pretty big. I don't dare add more shrimp after him though.

I've just never got around to making covers. It was the only fish I've had that has gone in there too.
