Hi

this is my first time posting, I am looking for some clownfish to add to my tank. I just set up a 120 gallon and want to add the clowns first.:)

What kind are you looking for? The personalities can vary quite significantly from species to species.

Oh yeah, and welcome to BRS!

I looked at the website, but I can find the clowns cheaper at a local fish store near me. sorry

I might head over there and pick some up:) Do you think that since they are that small that maybe two might become a pair?

Coral reef aquarium in Seekonk has been breeding and raising true percs for yrs now, might want to check with them as well.

To answer your earlier question: 2 small one's should ultimately end up being a pair. When you get them, especially if your tank is small, you might want to think about putting something on the top to prevent jumping. They can get pretty wild while they are battling to figure out who will get to be the lady. I had a couple of jumpers back in the day. That was sad.

Once they figure it out, things should settle down. Although even from there it can take months before they officially decide to move in together. But it should happen eventually.
