Low light Coral

Here's a really stupid question.

Are there any "lowlight" coral or anemones that would be happy in a
16 gallon Bio-Orb?

low flow
10 watt halogen
~9 lbs live rock
2 clowns
1 cleaner shrimp
3 hermits

All parameters are great.
I just want see if there's any possibility of adding anything else to my mother's novelty tank.

Tropic Isle has one. It has mushrooms, macro algae, and aptasia. It may possibly be able to keep xenia and gsp.

Heh, thats where I got mine for my parents. The one I've seen has the macro algea, and aptasia but didn't see any mushrooms in there. Ours has some aptasia in it and makes it a little more interesting. Any one advising against putting xenia, gsp, or mushrooms in there?

I'd go with mushrooms and xenia over gsp. Also look into some of the really common gold, blue and brown pallys.

I thought aptasia was bad?

lol. :p it is, but it makes the tank a little more interesting, gives something to look at besides just rock and some macro algae. This is basically a fish tank anything I can add living to make it interesting is fine. With 10 watts of light I don't have many options. I'm not gonna go out of my way to kill aptasia in a non-reef tank.

I think bubble algae is pretty - want some???

sure, but I don't it will be there for long. The emerald crab does a pretty intensive cleaning job of any macro algae in the tank.

You could get some of the screen people use to cover their tanks, and force chaeto to grow on it, make a bridge or some other fun design.

I can give you some aiptasia if you want it.

Despite a recent 6-pack of peppermint shrimp added, my 72 still has an outbreak I'm fighting.....

I have some low lite palys an d buttons you are welcome to come get some they are headed for the sump ..

That would be great. Are you ever in the boston area? Will you be going to the August meeting? If not I can come during the weekend down to RI. Thanks again.
