March 2009 Frag Swap Thread

Here is the info on the, March meeting

Please list what you're looking for and/or what you've got to trade/sell.

Posting frags for sale here is okay, as long as you're just a hobbyist, and the frags will be at the meeting.

For new folks: a "frag" is a piece of coral. In this hobby we like to cut off pieces of coral and trade or sell them to others. We have a frag swap at the end of our monthly meetings.

To keep this thread as uncluttered as possible, if your post is not specifically about arranging a coral trade (or selling/buying), then start a new thread with the question or point. For example, if you want to know the best way to pack frags, please start a new thread.

Hopefully this frag swap thread will remain useful.

Note that if somebody starts a new thread about their frags available at the meeting (not within this thread), it will get moved to the appropriate Marketplace forum. Feel free to mention within this thread if you have a separate thread in the Coral forum.

I have three frag disks of Anthelia (good sized ones), I just cut it back tonight. Good beginer coral, this stuff grows like weeds. Ill post pictures later, its getting late. $10 a disk. Still have a couple weeks ill trim other stuff and post as well.

I have quite abit of GSP in my frag tank. Good beginner coral, just keep it off yout rock work. I can give a frag to any "newbee" who wants one.

4 seperate green hairy mushrooms- not mounted
and frag of 10 green button polyps
Everything will be fresh cut for the meeting.
Looking for trades, zoas, pipe organs, mushrooms, fish, etc

I have 2 Blue palm frags for trade and also the three brow=ken SPS things I got at the auction for $2 that everyone thought were dead.....they grew right back out and look VERY good, but I have no idea what they are and don't care for them. Willing to trade for Zoas and palys. Even if no one wants them now, I'll bring them with and hope someone likes them

This may be a stupid question but do you need to trade frags or can you buy them too? I have only one coral that I could propagate (green star polyps) for trade.

I have two acans for sale...

Left one is an acan lord purple and green with about 13-15 heads that grows really fast...

Right one is an Indo acan has about 18 heads...

$100 for each

I plan on fragging 1 small head on each to keep some... Pick up at meeting or in Ipswich...
