My maxi jet 1200 no longer works. It appears the impeller is worn out and no longer stays centered so it rests on the side of the housing and gets really hot. Is there a replacement impeller for this?

I've seen Maxijet impellers in the local LFS.
I'd just call around first.You can definitely get them online,if you can't find them local.

Yup as noted above any LFS that carries the MJ pumps should have the replacement impellers.

Check with Patrick at Aqua Addicts. He usually has unique things that you would need.

Thanks all, I didn't even think of the LFS route. I was starting to head the Sure flow mod direction but I think 1600 gph was a bit much in a 27 gal tank....::

You are correct. I couldn't get a sureflow mod to work in a 40b - way too much flow.
