METROPLEX and ICH

Hello , recently I have been hearing from different reefers that besides having a good UV Sterilizer with the correct flow , feeding with metro and focus when you have a ICH breakout is the best thing to do. Does Metro actually work for ICH?

However, metro in food is unlikely to help much with external ciliates. Dosing Metronidazole does kill ich theronts (free swimmers) whilst the medication is active in the water. The problem is metro rapidly degrades (before you can safely redose it), so this is why copper (for example) is better for treating ich because you can test to ensure that the Cu level is therapeutic.
