Well to be honest with you. My cart is currently mixed with bothAre you using schedule 80 or 40?

they also make a clear primer. I guess the fusion pvc cement with primer in it works but I am old school. primer to soften and glue to solidly make the bond. That’s just me though. as for the tee I did a 45 coming out of the pump to hit the tee.Oof ok thanks! I read about people using those 2 in 1 primer + cement products. Would those be okay to use?
if you find yourself in a pinch or mess up and need something I have pipe and all kinds of fittings, reducers and unions. SCH-80Well to be honest with you. My cart is currently mixed with bothI read the only difference is the wall thickness?
You can have the fitting the way it's modeled without issue.@Cpage101 One last question. I added some more unions in hopes it will make life easier for future needs. I was curious though. I have the T fitting butted up against the elbow because the return chamber is a bit narrow. Would that be okay? Or should they be spaced at least an inch apart?View attachment 220752

Appreciate it, working on plumbing in UV and reactors currently.Good luck
This should be a fun build to watch
I’ll be following along
I agree with all noted above. I would not put a union in the long horizontal return because there is no support to that line IMHO. you have unions at the ball valves so that piece can be removed. if you need a longer piece of SCH-80 pipe you can probably get it from FW Webb supply house. I think they carry 10’ sticksGreat drawing! Great build!!! Personally in last edition I see unions across the back of the tank. I see no reason for this. Unions should be in places you need to remove in events. Worst case is always my thought. I would move them down to right above sump and pump just in case of sump replacement don't need to replace all of it. You will even beable to remove sump to deep clean.
Its also a 200 do you have room for 2 returns in that chamber? Might consider the redundancy of 2 pumps and no valves to balance flow needed. Also might be nicer for uv and reactor control to run 2. Personally hate my Bashee sump because it cant have 2 pumps in that chamber and mine is 48x18 but it does look sweet. Your looks set up different so hopefully its better in that aspect.
The 3 unions hidden behind the tank was to connect my ‘new’ plumbing to the tanks original plumbing LOL but my dumbass just learned that there’s a part called a coupler that could mate 2 pipes together for cheaper. And what if I get pipe clips to secure the horizontal pieces?I agree with all noted above. this is what I used I can’t believe it is just supposed to all hang off the bulkheadsThe 3 unions hidden behind the tank was to connect my ‘new’ plumbing to the tanks original plumbing LOL but my dumbass just learned that there’s a part called a coupler that could mate 2 pipes together for cheaper. Do you think these would be any good?this is what I used I can’t believe it is just supposed to all hang off the bulkheads

Well placed unions are your biggest friend and I agree with @Spaceman and @Cpage101 advice about positioning. Use them in spots where you will need to do frequent maintenance to make it much much easier.as well as the (2) return lines gate valves to be able to balance returns flow evenly. also unions are your best friend
I would suggest the schedule 80 if you can as it's more "heavy duty" and in theory "should" last longer.Well to be honest with you. My cart is currently mixed with bothI read the only difference is the wall thickness?
I’m like stuck in a weird middle right now lol. Nervous I will have to restart this adventure once upgrade is doneIts going to get worse before it gets better. You cant speed up nature! Just hang tight, stick to your regiment and let nature do her thing. Once you get through this you will enjoy the tank so much more, you will probably dont want to move forward with the upgrade lol.
