Just shy of 5 months in my tank. I would like to report possibly 2 eyes are coming in. Ill try to get a pic once they are for sure eyes. Very exciting!!!

Sorry That it has been long times between my updates!!! I'm happy to report that my last post was incorrect!! Less than 5 months in my tank we have had 3 eyes grow for a total of 4 eyes!!! It has been a couple months since and its still going strong!

I been feeding it love!! LOL I feed it a mix of arcti pods/marine snow/mysis once in a while but usually just red sea coral pro salt!!

9 Months

Ok so 9 months ago I picked up this one eye frag. At the 5 month mark we had enough eyes for everyone in the grow out. Are plan was to wait for more growth so each eye had a decent amount of flesh around it before fragging. We will frag the chalice soon. I had an issue where it looked as if it was being stung with a few very small areas showing white. I moved the chalice and it recouped great but it grew in green. Kind of odd I think. Here are some photos that I took earlier. Ill post more photos after I frag it.

ouch! that hurts looking at you frag that beauty. But either way, nice job on a clean looking frag. I have a piece with 3 eyes and I am very nervous about fragging it. Great job on this growout guys. If you dont mind, can you keep us updated with how it heals and its growth rate post frag?

Yea the little guy is mine! I will be documenting the growth of it after the transfer to my tank. Gonna try to time lapse it. Can't wait to have this piece!

Yea trust I was nervous to frag it. Specially because I'm not the only one affected. But everything has been succesful from the start which I'm proud of. It took a short time although we have taken our time to ensure a better success. I know there are a bunch of nay sayers and people against the whole grow out idea but they can be done and done successfully. I will continue to post photos. The colony and frag have already started healing and some green rim is showing through. I'll post new pics soon.

11 Month Update

I really think this coral has turned out awesome. Even the frag looks great! The frag will be picked up Sat. after this months BRS meeting.
