My toadstool won't open. Looks like it may melt. Help?

Yeah I can see particles and random stuff in the water column flowing by it. Not quick per say, but it is certainly not a dead spot. I read that you can also blow off some of the junk it spews with a turkey baster?

yeah...that is when it's shedding...I don't think that is ready to shed....it's just pissed from being torn off a rock...

+1 to all those who recommend leaving it alone. Its getting used to new lighting and water parameters. It will wax over and then sluff off. I have had tremendous luck with them at the top o'the reef. They like a strong flow and bright lighting. HTH

Hmm. Well mine still has yet to actually start shedding, soi think its stilljust pissed. But it hasn't flopped over, so its certainly not dead. Ill just leave it alone and itll open eventually, probably. My rasta leather flopped over and shrunk though. Not shedding, just pissed because I moved it and when I did I dropped it in the sand and it got mad and floppy. But now everything is in good spots. The blue hornets were almost fully opened lastnight.

Two account of good news!!!

The toadstool is starting to show it's polyps budding today:

And my blue hornets are continuing to open more and more each day:
