Most women get chocolates....look what I got!! He's still down at Marc's place - he's too big for my current tank. Can't wait to get my new tank up and get him in there. Should be ready to go by the end of March. He's beautiful. I've had my eye on this guy since Marc first got him in. Marc, thanks for being Kev's cohort on the surprise!

triggers are so cool!!!

Hey He's got Pink on him, I guess that makes him appropriate !
BTW A word of caution when feeding, I think he has trouble with the difference between shrimp and fingers :p

I'm sorry I couldn't get a better picture....I think I need to get Jim up for a tutorial visit.

sweet fish!

I just love him! I'm not worried about my fingers....I just hope he can tell the difference between freeze dried shrimp and my cleaners!!

Beautiful fish, I love triggers, how big is he, hard to tell by the picture.

Jim

He's pretty big already - I'd say about 6". What do you think Marc? Jim, I hope he's as well behaved as your Niger!

Pink tailed trigger is on my short list of fish.
It'd be the next to last fish I add, I think.
Let me know how it goes with your trigger, Daire!

I had a clown trigger in my fish only 10 plus years ago. I had him for about the usual three & a half years (common in FO for me) before he kicked. I stuck my hand in the tank once to screw with a powerhead & he wacked my knuckle. Drew blood the little ba$tard!!!

Nice gift. My Sargassum Trigger gets a little overexcited during feeding time too. Its just like a nippy puppy. Hasn't bothered the cleaners though. Good luck with your pink tail, I hope it behaves as well as my trigger!

mikestod - I just looked the Sargassum up - they are beautiful! Rated as one of the "reef safe" triggers in Scott Michael's book - just like the Pink Tail. I hope mine is well behaved too! I really can't wait to get him. The electrician is coming on Wed, tank is hopefully going to be delivered on Fri, and then we should be on our way (thanks to Marc!!).

And I bet that your non-fishy girlfriends will never understand why you would want him over a shinny bobble of some sort. Mine NEVER get it. They just think that I am crazy. I have a niger trigger and he has a great personality. I had a cleaner with him for about 8 months, fine and then one day gone. Bought another one and in 5 min. he was having a 25.00 shrimp dinner. I saw this trigger a couple of weeks ago at Marc's, he is big and beautiful!!! Happy V-day to you!!!!!

Thanks Ifferfish - happy V-Day to you too! No, my friends don't quite understand my compulsive behavior when it comes to this hobby - but who cares - all you guys do! That's very bad news about your Niger - makes me very nervous! Oh well, only time will tell. But he's one handsome fish. :o
