I've never tried the nudi branch method so i wouldnt know, I have however tried the over stocking of peppermint method, It worked incredible. They literally tear through a tank like locusts at night and in a couple weeks i was aptasia free.
I would suggest at least 10 per 60 gallon tank.

The nudi route can can be very iffy, Have you tried kalking them? What size is your tank?

Just kalk them, cheaper then joe's juice and works fine. Peppermints are hit or miss in my opinion. I have never had a peppermint eat it that I knew of, but I never really have that much and only a couple of peppermints. If I see an aptasia pop up I usually just nuke it with some kalk.

Have to get that purple epoxy putty though or you will have an eyesore, especially in a 6 gallon.

yah forgot to mention that worcesterreefer I only use purple epoxy, a good way to kalk in a nano would be when you do a waterchange, pull the rock out, kalk the aptasia in a bucket, blow off the rock with apower head then place it back in, this way if it does shoot off spawns it doesn't do it in the tank.

Is there any safe way of making the white stuff from Home Depot purple? Like adding food coloring to frosting. Not trying to hijack the thread but it is somewhat relevant to the conversation.

How big is your tank? If it is a good size, I would recommend a Copperband Butterfly. I have a 220 gallon tank and it got rid of all the Aiptasia in two weeks and I haven't seen any since. He eats mysis and other copepods that I put in as well.

FWIW If your going to make a suggestion to help someone you should give them the big picture not just partof the picture.
1. copperband butterfly's are not considered reef safe, they can and will possibly eat corals.
2. For most people it's hit or miss if they eat aptasia.
3. It's hit or miss whether a $30+ copperband will survive in captivity.
4. copperbands should not be housed in a 6g nano
That said yes "some" people have had good luck with copperbands getting rid of aptaisa.

I've lost 3 CBB's in captivity. I saw all three eat in the LFS before I brought them home.
Only 1 of 3 ate aiptasia, but the one that ate them did eat all of the ones in my tank.
My CBB's were in a 92.....
They also at my feather dusters and fan worms....but never saw them eat any corals

Peppermint shrimp ate all of my aptaisia when I had it and it was BAD!!! My whole 29 was filled with it and 3 of them ate all of it in a few days.
Just for the record my CBB has also never eaten aptaisia. He does eat feather dusters and snails though. Never touched any coral or aptaisia.
