Need plumbing help I don't get it

I don't now were to start I have a 120rr half full of water with 130lbs. of what used to be live rock and Iwaki MD 100rlt with a Powerpro2 skimmer what I think I need to do is T off to my corner overflows from my pump to my tank but because this pump is so strong I also want it to run my skimmer but how? My skimmer also has two in and two out. If anybody can come by and help that would be awsome thanks.I'm on my way to AquaAddicts for a couple of bulkheads i'll be back i'm not ignoring you.

Do you have to have the main return pump run the skimmer too?
I wouldn't, but that's my preference.

I'm with Moe on this one. How do you know how much water is going through the skimmer?

Is your Iwaki located in the basement? If it's under the tank it may be noisy.

I tried the Iwaki 70 on my 120 and the tank sounded like a dishwasher running! Sold it off and bought a MAG12 and dropped it in the sump.

I went up to AquaAddicts they did not like the sound of my plan so i'm giong with submersible pumps for know just to get this up and running
