Very nice! I'm interest in how well the FosCam works. Been looking at it for awhile.

FosCam works ok -- I have tried it multiple times; video is nice, but choppy -- i.e. you can tell exactly what's what, but the lag is killing. It actually saved the day while we were on vacation and the parents were tank watching -- I could see the video of tank on my phone, and tell them exactly what needed to be done :) And they can be had for wicked cheap lately (I think around $70-$80?).

Archit have you found a better camera or still using the foscam thinking of adding one on my apex also.

Yea guys it cost $68. The guy who works for Neptune systems has this model and recommended it too me. Thanks for the input Archit. Could the LAG be from your network? Just curious...

NICE!!

You don't have to wrap them before dropping them off at my house.:p

LOL Bob!

After the camera is set up do you think you could maybe write a quick review? Curious how well and easy it will be to hook up to the apex. Tagging along!

Absolutely. The apex will be here tomorrow and I'm picking up an iphone5 tonight. I will get it setup this weekend and fill everyone in. The guy from Neptune said he could walk me through the camera setup. I will get ahold of setup instructions and post here as well. :)

You can actually call neptune and they will dial in to your computer. Their customer support has come a long way. Just make sure you are connecting it initially directly to your modem or router. After that you can use a wireless game adapter or something like that.

awesome!

I've had the Foscam for a few months now, using it as a baby cam. I had a little bit of a hard time setting it up initially but after that it has worked great. I love it.

You will love osmolator, such a nice product from Tunze.

My other ATO was a pain always too big of a range on the water line so my skimmer wouldn't work consistently

Sorry about the delayed reply -- didn't see your question until now.

I'm not entirely sure whether it was the network or the settings I had it on ... everything worked a lot better on LAN as opposed to remotely, but a minimal lag was still noticeable. I don't think I spent more than 2 hours setting it up so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some image quality settings that I could have tweaked to make it work better. Also I believe they have released new firmwares since I last tried, that are supposed to fix a lot of those lag issues.

Overall I was happy with the product though -- I'll be ordering a whole bunch of these cameras to create a fully integrated security system for LTR soon.
