Nick's Reef

Very nice.
Wish my iphone 4 pictures can come out this good.
Which iphone did you use that gives you this awesome and clear pictures like these.
Thanks

Just a quick video I took to send to someone the other day. The 3 months interval update will be coming at the first week of May to show growth and color progress of the tnak.

The QD40s are set at long pulse at 80% antisync to create a gyre around back of the tank to front. There's actually more flow than it looks. I may add another QD40 but at the same time, I don't want a tank to be full of powerheads.
Here's the tank with QD40 antisync short pulse at 100%. I'm not comfortable with running my tank like this. :)

Looking really good Nick.I also end up watching the dream catcher vid u had up too.Man the old Chinese song still song good

I hear u Nick.

I have just a little bit of a "wave motion" going across the water line from side to side on mine at this point. I tuned it down a lot, I kept having nightmares of the the glass panels coming apart! :-)

great job. TOTM candidate for sure!

Yes definitely TOTM candidate.

Nick, nice job, and tank is looking gorgeous... Also nice camera and photography skills that you have there.

Matt,
I have to see if I have enough space for a gigantea or two. Anemone and SPS don't work quite nice some time. SPS and LPS are my top priority for this tank. The anemone will be a bonus.

But that can always change. :) I always missed the giganteas I had.

Just reading my post from August lol. Well I got what I wanted(giganteas) and more.

Hahaha. Thanks guys for the TOTM comment. To be honest, my tank is far from one and will need a lot more time for the SPS to grow in. Summer is coming and this will be the real test of my husbandry and the tank stability with rising temperature and humidity. I'm kind of a cheapo in terms of running cental air :D.

Just going back to some of my post(this is why I like tank build, I can back track on when stuff was put in), the SPS frags were first tried in Mid Oct as a way to see if the system is stable enough to sustain SPS. It wasn't until early November that the incoming 1" frags were slowed down. Heck, even just a few weeks ago, I added a bit more rocks and ordered over $600 worth of 1" RMF milleopora frags.

I plan on doing a quarterly update on pictures to see the color and growth progression. Next one will be first week of May, follow by a one-year-anniversary of the tank in August, and a one-year-anniversary of the frags in November.

The biggest enemy for this tank is me. I'm constantly tempted by adding stuff that I know I shouldn't have. Been looking at large angels but I know better but the head can't seem to get out of the gutter sometime. I also tend to overfeed the fish on the weekend when I'm home with flakes. It just too tempting when they all swim up to you. This can and already created some algae issue on the sand. But I just can't seem to walk away when they all swim up to me frantically for food.
